Character Basics
Name: Sephen Alastair de la Braose
Alias(es)/Nickname(s): Bro, Sir Scowls-a-lot, The Wandering Knight (all jokingly by Killian)
Gender: Male
Age: 29
Race: Human
Status/Title: Noble and Lord of the De La Braose Fiefdom; "My Lord"; Merchant
Affiliation: Secret supporter of Narnia

Character Appearance
Hair: Brown and kept short; Sephen is extremely practical and cannot stand having his hair in his face
Eyes: Blue; perhaps his most striking feature is his eyes
Overall:
Sephen is a formidable figure despite that he is not actually expected to pull his weight like many of the peasants who work on his land do; by upbringing, he's trained in hand-to-hand combat and horseback riding by his father, and as such is meticulous about maintaining his physical fitness.

As a noble, he can be seen in his elaborate style of dress, though he dons a suit of armor should the occasion arise, though none have come up as of yet beyond need for his sword. Being very practical, Sephen keeps his hair short-cropped and out of his way; his eyes are his most striking and noticeable feature, and can be known to use them to his advantage when it comes to intimidating those he thinks may know something he wants to. Sephen stands at 6-foot-1, barely taller than his brother, and weighs in at 165 pounds.

Though swordplay isn't his forte, Sephen is exceptionally strong, especially when it comes down to the defense of someone or something he is passionate about; in particular, the battle for Narnia and protecting his younger brother Killian.

General Personality:
Don't let his title fool you; Sephen may be of noble blood, but he is far from the uppity, self-centered gentry many people stereotype those of his birth. Having a love of animals and growing up on tales of the Old Narnians, Sephen is a compassionate and open-minded kind of character, though there are some concepts he absolutely refuses to change his mind about. Such as the loathing of the current king that seems to run in his bloodline; both he and his father are fierce supporters of the Caspian lineage, though since the death of the late Caspian IX, they have had to keep their views under wraps in favor of a more neutral cover.

With a lot of free time, Sephen is an avid horseback rider, yeoman and swordsman, though he much prefers the two former-most; though he cannot play any musical instruments, Sephen is very fond of music and tends to keep at least one musician around the estate to have it available whenever he so chooses. He has jousted a few times, but has never much cared for fighting on horseback unless with a bow and arrow; Sephen's suit of armor was a gift from another noble, though as of yet he has never had the need to wear it. His steed and beloved friend is his horse Thane.

Surprisingly, Sephen plays an important role in the Narnian resistance, sending them what supplies he can including food, armor, shelter materials and weapons, having a large expanse of land at his disposal as well as the peasants that help work the land. He can be somewhat paranoid when around Telmarine supporters and any officials of the King, what with playing a sort of playing the mole by relaying information from the Court to the armies, though those opportunities are very few and far in between. Sephen is, though, very practiced and skilled in the art of being able to subtly intimidate those he is speaking to with an expression and changing his stature and the context of his words. He has many a time dissuaded a would-be interrogator from coming onto his secret alliance or pulling information from lower-ranking soldiers.

For the time being, he is much too busy with the resistance to much care about the fact that he currently has no spouse and no heir, believing that it's trivial enough to be put off.

Sephen is also a protective and affectionate older brother to Killian, his younger brother 4 years his junior; he would do just about anything for his brother, and after the deaths of their parents when they were 27 and 23, respectively, they only became even closer. Killian does not live with Sephen on the Braose fiefdom, but he visits his younger brother frequently. Sephen would do anything for Killian, and has gotten himself into trouble before in the defense of his brother.

As a noble, Sephen has a connection to Miraz; he supplies the king with many of the goods that make up his luxurious lifestyle, and his connections to foreign traders make him invaluable both to the king's comfort and the welfare of his soldiers, as he supplies medicine and rations as well. However, Sephen realizes how much power he wields and absolutely refuses to be intimidated. He already has planned ahead should he have to flee by angering Miraz, to run with Killian and burn Braose to the ground.

Character History
Parents:
Morgaine De La Braose (mother- deceased)
Rynelf De La Braose (father- deceased)
Siblings: Killian De La Braose (younger brother- 25)

General History:
Morgaine and Rynelf weren't exactly the nobleman and his wife most people might have expected them to be; Rynelf had grown up on the stories of Old Narnians under the tutelage of his father, a normally cynical man that had encountered animals that uttered the language of men. Morgaine was more fanciful, taking to Rynelf's storytelling like a moth to flame, retelling his stories to their son; they would become as true to him as the sun and moon.

Sephen Alastair De La Braose wasn't born under any supernatural circumstances, unless the fact that his parents were believers in the Old Narnians counted for anything. Either way, Morgaine and Rynelf were thrilled to welcome their son into the world.

At first, Sephen was much like any other child his age; curious, constantly exploring and toddling after whichever parent was around for him to follow, and that would more or less be the better part of his being an infant and a toddler. Once he was old enough, though, his father brought in a tutor to begin his schooling. Sephen wasn't particularly happy to be taken from his otherwise carefree agenda and put into one that required him to sit still and learn about things he didn't care for, though he began to change his mind when at his father's insistence, began learning the history and legends of Old Narnia.

At age 4, Morgaine gave birth to Sephen's younger brother Killian; at first, he wasn't very thrilled by the prospect of a sibling to compete against for their parents' attention, but as little Killian learned to crawl and then walk, and began to toddle after his big brother, the boy grew on Sephen. As it stood, he would become a protective and watchful older brother, and would become the best of friends with Killian and telling him many of the stories Rynelf told him before the younger boy's birth, adding his own details and becoming something of a storyteller to Killian.

When he was older, horseback riding, archery and swordplay would become some of his favorite pastimes, primarily since it kept him from having to be cooped up inside the house all day. He would prove to be as talented as his father in those areas, though unlike Rynelf much prefered riding and archery to fighting with a sword.

As his father's son, Sephen was taught to support the Caspian lineage, which for a while before the death of Caspian IX was known by the gentry to be suspected of being under threat. Rynelf believed Miraz had murdered his brother for the throne, and Sephen was quick to agree with his father's theory. It would be at the news of Prince Caspian X running away and supposedly captured by Narnians thought to be only myth did Sephen set his mind to playing his part in taking Miraz from the usurped throne.

For now, he's sending supplies from the tracts of land and other assets at his disposal which he inherited from his father (he and Morgaine passed away several years ago), though he is eager to see if he can take part directly in the resistance forces.

Other/Notes:
Sephen is a nobleman, and as such has peasants to work on his land; he, like his father, is a secret supporter of the Caspian bloodline and is a supplier of arms, transportation and other necessities to the Narnian resistance.

Has occasionally tipped off the Narnians to Telmarine moves or strategies, but it is very difficult to get that information and then send it through.

Sample
RP Sample:
Admittedly, Keith's face turned a bit red when Haley checked his arms and legs to see if he was okay from being tackled by the hyper 70-something point dog, feeling very much like a shy schoolboy. Damn, he did need to get out more often... in any case, though, as it wouldn't do for him to sit there on the floor, he quickly got up again to fetch his coat and anything he could need (the coat had enough pockets to hold everything) before leaving the boys with his mother.

He grinned, stuffing his hands into his pockets for lack of knowing what else to do.

"It's the least I could do." Keith replied, inwardly proud of himself for not stuttering like a moron, "Besides, Dylan would never let me hear the end of it if his new best friend didn't come along...." For a moment, he was silent, awkward in debate of whether or not to say anything else. "Mom likes you too. She wanted you to come too."

....okay, so that wasn't as bad-sounding as he had thought it would oome out, but really, it sounded like he was asking her to move in or something with the whole, "my parent(s) like you" crap. Nervous he'd said something stupid, Keith floundered to explain himself.

"Uh.... that is, she has a lot of respect for you.... y'know...." In all honesty he didn't know himself, and was hoping Haley would get what he was trying to convey but failing monumentally at.

Okay, it was totally childish (and a good way to escape the extremely awkward stance he'd put himself in), but really, nobody was going to hold it against Keith for being amused by taking a running start and sliding along the icy sidewalk to where he'd parked the cruiser; hey, his job sucked, he was allowed to act like a freshman boy every now and then. He opened the passenger-side door with an over-exaggerated flourishing bow, announcing in an extremely cheesy French accent that "your carriage, mademoiselle" had arrived. While he slipped and slid around to his side of the car and turned on the engine while the glass defrosted, he could admit to being just a bit embarrassed when the Disney album he'd been playing last he'd picked up Dylan turned on. The Little Mermaid soundtrack, to be precise. He grinned sheepishly at Haley, who seemed very amused by his apparent taste in music.

"Dylan loves listening to Disney tracks," He said, "We were singing along when we went out the other day."

Though when one track came on as he pulled the cruiser out into the street, Keith grinned like the goof he was and turned it up; he didn't know who the hell came up with a song about fish, but there was little else Dylan took more delight in than when his daddy sang along with perfect tune and accent to Les Poissons. It was all the better when he decided to be dramatic and pitch his voice with each and every word the singer used, including the 'HEE HEE HEE HAW HAW HAW' in the middle that left Dylan in hysterical laughter.

It was about the dorkiest thing he'd ever done in front of anyone other than Dylan, but if the fact that Haley was laughing was any indication, it had at least worked. It was by far the most ridiculous song he'd ever heard, but what the hell, it was FUN, dammit.

"Ooh, I like. Especially if it gets that Radner bitch off of Dylan's case." Keith grinned at the idea; both of them had thoroughly agreed that that Mrs. Radner needed to remove whatever had been shoved up her ass and get off of their kids' backs. That woman strongly reminded Keith of the cliche, stereotypical evil librarian with the scary face and the ruler to smack kids with who spoke in the library.

Wow, what a wonderful app! I really don't see much to improve on here.  Mainly, I want to know why Sephen's parents are believers in Old Narnia, as that is rather unusual. But also, if you could add a few more dislikes to balance out your likes at least a bit, that would be great!

Let me know when you've finished expanding on those things, and I'll gladly take another look at this app!
