I thought I'd start a whole new thread for Pevensie Plot discussion. (Trumpkin can join in, as he'll be joining the Pevensies soon!) Our old Peter and Edmund are gone, and I felt it would be best to start over just for the sake of clarity.

So first, what's gone on so far? Well, not much, unfortunately.  The Pevensies have arrived from the train station into Narnia (following the movie interpretation of their arrival), and then began to play in the water. Now, Lucy's taken off to explore, as she's thirsty.

Where should we go from here?  I think the main thing is that it shouldn't take too long for the Pevensies to meet up with Caspian and the old Narnians. We can still play some of the things that lead up to there, of course. Personally, I'd love to play the re-discovery of Cair Paravel and the meeting with Trumpkin.  But we shouldn't dawdle too long on these things, and for that reason, I think we should just say that the Pevensies came after the storm so we don't take too much time playing the storm.

In fact, unless there are any objections, I think sometime next week, I'm going to go ahead and close the By the Call of the Lion thread, as it's pretty much served its purpose (bringing the Pevensies to Narnia). Then, I'll start a new thread for the Pevensies to rediscover Cair Paravel. Where we go from there is up to everyone else.

At any rate, plot ideas or other suggestions/comments from the other Pevensies and Trumpkin can go here!

I suppose I'm a few months late in posting this, but in any case, I agree.  While we should touch on the introduction, just for the sake of staying in canon and etc. etc. (and I'd also like to get to know everyone a bit better), we should definitely move into the more juicy elements of the plot as soon as possible!  I started a thread in Ruins on an Island for everyone to come post, if they'd like - Trumpkin needs some heroes Smiley  Don't feel obligated to reply until you're finished with the "re-discovering Cair Paravel" thread, but it's there.

So, to jump or not to jump?

My personal vote is for jumping past the point where the Pevensies find the treasure room, to the thread where Trumpkin needs rescuing.   We can still continue the Homecoming thread as well, if wanted, of course, but whether we do or not, I think we should definitely start posting in the Trumpkin thread. After the Trumpkin thread, I think we can decide where to go from there (and if we do another jump after that, whether to follow the book or the movie more, which makes a huge difference).

However, there's still the possibility for not doing a jump at all, or for jumping straight to when the Pevensies meet the Narnians (once again, we need to decide how that would happen).

Thoughts/opinions?

I agree!  But I'm biased xD  Yeah, my thread's been ruminating there untouched for a while, so I kinda want someone to post in it, but given the fact that no one's posted in it for a few months, I would rather not expect someone to post in it when no one was planning on it.  So, we can jump to that point, or just skip ahead entirely...  As long as Trumpkin gets to do something.  Because he's quite tired of being dangled over the side of a boat! xD
