General Personality: Ever since he was a cub, his parents had told him the tales of Aslan and the Golden Age of Narnia. And ever since he had been told their stories, Trufflehunter was a firm believer in the Great Lion and the four Kings and Queens of Old. Always faithful and patient, willing for things to happen for the ‘Old Narnians’ on Aslan’s timing and not on that of their own. Though he often argued with his friend Nikabrik about whether or not they actually existed, his views and faith in Aslan never wavered for a second.
When angered by his dwarf friend, the small amount of tempter that Trufflehunter has comes right out. For it seems when it comes to Nikabrik, the dwarf has a very easy time unearthing this much hidden temper. Just something about the black dwarf’s bitterness towards just about everything often brings out the worst of Trufflehunter’s personality, often resulting in the badger sitting on Nikabrik’s head in a desperate attempt to get something into his head. Needless to say, it never worked.
After many years of planning the resistance with the other Narnian’s, fate gave them their chance at freedom in the form of the running Prince Caspian. When the young prince was knocked off his horse in a storm not far from Trufflehunter’s den, the badger’s kind and caring heart shined through when he and Trumpkin stopped Nikabrik from killing the boy and by helping him recover from his fall from the horse and the hard nock to the head by a branch.
Rather then receive praise when it is rightfully earned, Trufflehunter will often be humble and credit his strong faith to the fact that he is a badger, or waving off his bravery of not wearing armor it battle by saying that a beast would fight with his own teeth and claws. If those weren’t enough protection to keep his skin whole then his skin was consider not worth keeping.
Character History Parents: Tramule {father} & Samula {mother}
Siblings: none
General History: Trufflerhunter’s early life was none to exciting. What with being in hiding and having to be extremely carefully in order to go anywhere out of his den. He lived with his mother and father for many of the early years of his life and they taught him all the necessities of life; how to talk, how to cook, how to keep a tidy den (though he was never very good at this), where to find food, how to defend himself, all things that a young badger needed to learn.
From his birth, his mother and father had told him all they knew of the Golden Age of Narnia, a subject he quickly became interested in. One of his favorite subjects to hear about, were the stories containing the Great Lion Aslan, Son of the Emperor Across the Sea, though Trufflehunter had yet to even see a sea. He found all the stories fascinating and was disappointed when his mother and father finally ran out of things about the four Kings and Queens of old to tell him. Though even after they had told all they knew Trufflehunter continued to go over everything he knew on his own till he believed strongly in Aslan and the tales of the Golden Age were second nature to him. A faith so strong that his parents often marveled at it.
Not long before he reached adulthood, his parents left him in the den and went to gather more of the fruit and herbs that they were beginning to run low on. They had left in the early morning and by the time it was beginning to grow dark, Trufflehunter knew something must be wrong. So he left the den and using his nose, followed their trail to where it ended in an empty clearing, no sign of his parents anywhere. But what he did find was several bear foot prints in the ground and small clumps of black fur scattered around the clearing. He soon after returned to the den knowing his parents were most likely dead.
The next few years passed quietly for Trufflehunter that is until he met the two dwarf’s Trumpkin and Nikabrik. Though neither of the two had the strong faith in Aslan that he did or the strong belief in the tales of the Golden Age, the three became good friends. Even with Trufflehunter often having to threaten to sit on the head of the quite bitter Black Dwarf. As the long rumored plans of a resistance against the Telmarines became a reality, something his parents would have loved to partake in, Trufflehunter offered his den to become the base of the operations and a permanent place to stay for the two dwarfs. Life in hiding continued on as they planned the resistance, until one stormy night a young boy name Caspian X landed outside of his den, a certain horn of legend with him.

Sample RP Sample: (As Natalie McDonald at a 4th year HP RP)
Natalie let out a content sigh as she walked into the Great Hall, a bright smile on her face as she moved through the throng of students towards the Gryffindor table. Merlin it was good to be back in the place of magic that had quickly become the fifteen year olds home away from home. The Hall filled quickly with hungry students and before Natalie knew it, the newest batch of first years were being led up to the front of the hall, where the sorting hat sat on an old stool waiting for them. It was at this point that she began to zone out and observe those in the hall.
Her blue eyes took in the enchanted ceiling above her, a work of magic that would always awe her, reflecting the stormy night sky outside. Her eyes then moved to the students around her at the Gryffindor table. She saw the bright hair of Ginny Weasley a few seats down from her, along with her brother Ron, Hermione Granger, and the famous Harry Potter, who seemed to always get attention whenever he least wanted it. Then again, who would want people fawning all over them? Well, a few Slytherins came to mind immediately, and her sister Sarah to a certain extent, but the manner of which she got attention was a different manner entirely.
Moving her gaze away from the group a few seats down on her, her eyes finally moved to the staff table where the teachers waited penitently for the sorting to complete. All the usual faces sat behind the table, but one unfamiliar and quite frightening in looks sat beside Professor Snape. Gruesome scars covered a face and a large chunk of his nose seemed to be missing, but the part that startled Natalie the most was the fact that one eye was a vivid blue and swiveled around of its own accord as the other was smaller and of a darker color that she could not distinguish from the distance, but seemingly normal.
She tore her gaze away from the unknown man as the hall went quite, all attention on Professor Dumbledore as he stood behind his golden owl podium where he stood surveying the hall before speaking. “Before I begin, I would like to express my most hearty best wishes for your new school year.” Natalie’s smile widened and she let out a small laugh as some of her classmates cheered before the headmaster continued speaking. “I also wish to welcome our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Alastor Moody.”
Natalie followed the motion of Dumbledore’s hand to where the unfamiliar man, apparently now the Defense professor, sat beside the potions master. The hall seemed to quite significantly as all heads turned to look at the newest professor, who was now taking a swig from his flask and licking his lips once he was finished. Natalie hoped as she turned her gaze back towards Dumbledore that this newest professor proved that the slight air of insanity around him was just a mistake and also hoped that he was batter then the professor they had had two years previous, Gilderoy Lockhart. Then again, she thought as Professor Dumbledore spoke of wishing him luck and joined the rest of the student body in clapping for him, I don’t think anyone can beat him in the category of worst professor in history.
"It is now my great honor to welcome the new students who are to join us this year. I'm sure you will all give a heartfelt welcome to the students of Beauxbatons." .As Dumbledore finished speaking, Natalie and the rest of the halls attention was drawn to the now opening doors, where two neat rows of students wearing periwinkle blue robes entered the hall. The female students entered before the males, heads held high amidst the cat calls and wolf whistles from some of the male population of Hogwarts. As the two dancers at the front of the hall finished their rather impressive routine, Natalie rolled her eyes as she spotted many of the males giving the ladies in blue a standing ovation. Why was it that the male population only seemed to go for girls that care more about their appearance’s then other people’s feelings.
"And now, we shall invite in the students from Durmstang!" Natalie’s gaze once more traveled to the doors of the Great Hall as a second group of students entered the hall, this time the boy leading the girls as they entered. Natalie’s jaw dropped as she watched some of the males perform aerial flips and twists that even she had a hard time completing correctly. As she joined in with the thunderous applause following their performance, she knew that she would just have to ask one of them just how they were able to complete such a complicated maneuver and preferable one that didn’t have the IQ on the same level as a bowl of Jell-O.
"Now, I am sure that we all know why we are here. The Triwizard Tournament has come around once more, and it shall be held on the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." Natalie laughed with her classmates, especially at the raucous applause that the Weasley twins had burst into. Shaking her head, she looked back to Dumbledore to see him smiling also. "Though this is a friendly competition, it can be mortally dangerous. Three tasks shall be put up against the three Triwizard competitors, and they are anything but easy. As a precaution, we have decided that no one under the age of seventeen shall be allowed to enter."
At the mention of an age limit, many began to loudly object, the Weasley twins just a few of those yelling. Natalie rolled her eyes and waited for the yells of anger to pass. Though she was one that looked to have fun and the occasionally adventure, this was one time that she would happily just sit back and watch as someone else endangered their lives in the tournament. That and she was sure if she even considered entering, her parents and her siblings would rip her a new one before she would even get the chance to enter.
"Therefore, we shall set an age line to not allow anyone under this age enter. In order to enter-" Natalie gasped in amazement as Dumbledore pulled a veil of a wooden cup, blue flames dancing along the cups rim. It was official, magic never ceased to amaze her. “one must place their name in the flames of this cup. But be forewarned, once you enter, you are a serious consideration for competition. Do not do so lightly."
As Dumbledore finished speaking and the food appeared on the table, conversation broke out and almost all the topics had gone from being about what their friend had done over the summer, was now about the upcoming Tournament. As Natalie reached forward to take a piece of chicken from the platter in front of her, she looked forward to what she was sure would be her most exciting year at Hogwarts yet.
