My dear brother,

How I miss you! When will this dreadful war end? I do hope that you are making some kind of progress with the Narnians, you know how I long for peace. Have you seen them? Are they not as I always claimed they would be? I can hardly bare the wait to hear your tales, Thal! My heart aches for them, and for my brothers also. I wish that you were here with me now. The castle is so cold and it feels so empty. If I were a boy perhaps we would all be happily settled in some far away place. But I dream too much, as you always have to remind me of.

There is so little I have to speak of. I should much rather be in your place right now, meeting the Narnians and going on all the adventures you are. Truly, I would rather be anywhere you are, but you already know this. And I do not mean to complain, for I know I am very blessed here, and I shall always thank you for the great care you have taken for me.

But I am going on silly trails of insignificance. When might I see you again, dear Thal? Please write to me of what is happening beyond this castle for I long to hear it with everything in me.

Dear Shayla,

You ask to much of me, sister. I am a man of few words, and you know that very well. However, I will attempt to scribble something to your name, which will perhaps give you some joy at least.

It would be much better if you were in my place - not in war, but in location. Things were as you declared. The woods is teeming with Narnians - centaurs, fauns, talking animals of all kinds. They would delight you and I do wish you could see them. But you must remember, Shayla, that they are our enemy and we must watch what we speak of. I will tell you more of it at a later time.

I haven't the time to say more. I pray all is well with you. We shall meet again soon.
